Re-arrange Reference No

Description

This solution below is explaining the  usage of Re-arrange Reference No.  in External

Application Program File Manager

Solution

1.    This is used  to rename the  reference numbers in transactions whereby  the  reference numbers are repeated more  than  26 times. The system  will rename all the  repeated reference numbers for both  debit & credit side differently.

2.    The format  of the  renamed reference number is described as follow:

(a) At the  end of each  reference number, a special character “#“ will be added followed by a serial number starting from “001“.

(b)   Example: if the  reference number for a transaction is “00123“ , after  the  rename process, on the  debit side of the  transaction, it becomes “00123#001“ but for the  credit side, it becomes “00123#002“.

(c)    If the  original reference number has  10 characters, after the  rename process, 4 characters counted from backwards will be replaced by a “#“ and follow with 3 characters of serial numbers.

(d)   Example: if the  reference number for a transaction is “0123456789“, after  the  rename process, on the  debit side of the  transaction, it becomes “012345#001“ but for the  credit side, it becomes “012345#002“.
